Master Chorale Welcomes All Vocalists for Spring Semester

The Community Music School and the Department of Music are thrilled to welcome all singers for the 2025 Master Chorale. Join this welcoming, non-auditioned ensemble, bringing together choral singers from across the region and the U of A.

With a mission to expose and educate its members and the public to the beauty of the great choral and orchestral works, Master Chorale is the perfect opportunity for singers of all voice parts to explore their passion for music.

Under the baton of professor Alan Gosman, this year's Master Chorale will perform Schicksalslied, Op. 54 by Johannes Brahms, a masterpiece of deep emotion and musical brilliance. Rehearsals begin in the Billingsley Music Building, room 335, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, and will then meet bi-weekly on Mondays until April 7, when rehearsals will be every Monday. The performance will take place on April 30. The cost of joining Master Chorale is $30 per singer, which includes all 12 rehearsals and music. Chorale members must be over 18.

To register, go to the Community Music School website at cms.uark.edu and click on the Master Chorale link. In case of cancellation, please email Carla Summers at carlas@uark.edu to withdraw from the roster. Refunds are not available for this program in case of cancellation.
