Since 2003, Enrollment Services staff at the U of A has raised money through an office "jeans day" tradition to support EOA Children's House, a local charity. In 2024, the team collected nearly $1,000 in toys and goods for Children's House, along with enough donations of detergent to complete more than 3,500 loads of laundry.

"Children's House provides an important and meaningful service for families in our community," said Suzanne McCray, vice provost of Enrollment Services and dean of admissions. "Supporting their work is one of Enrollment Services' most cherished holiday traditions. Every child should have a memorable holiday, and we are grateful that we can contribute in this small way to Children's House's efforts to make it happen."

Founded in 1978, EOA Children's House provides services and support to children under the age of five who have faced abuse, neglect or other adverse experiences. The organization is one of the nation's largest long-term centers for early childhood abuse prevention and treatment, and the only center of its kind in Arkansas.

"We are very thankful for the University of Arkansas Enrollment Services team and their continued support of EOA Children's House," said Megan Cuddy, director of advancement for Children's House. "This year they provided a new toy for each child and laundry detergent for each family. Other community partners provided clothing for the children for Christmas. Many of our families struggle to pay their bills, as most live below poverty level, and this support helps take some stress off of the families during the holidays."
