Security Enhancements to Affect Inactive UARK Accounts

To enhance account security across the university, inactive UARK accounts will be locked by the end of the year. This proactive measure aims to reduce vulnerabilities to cyber attacks, scams and other threats, providing a safer online environment for the campus community.

Student UARK accounts that have not been logged into in the last 120 days will be locked until reactivated. Retiree, emeritus and affiliate accounts will be locked after 90 days of account inactivity. At this time, staff and faculty accounts with an active employment status in Workday will not be affected.

Locked accounts will not be deleted, and account data will not be lost. Users are encouraged to log into their accounts by Dec. 23 to avoid temporarily losing account access.

To reactivate a locked UARK account, call the IT Help Desk at 479-575-2905. Please note, the Help Desk will be closed for the holiday break beginning Tuesday, Dec. 24, and will reopen on Jan. 2.
