EBSCO to Reveal New Interface Next Month

In January, the popular EBSCO service will move to a new interface for all databases. The familiar blue and green pages will be replaced by a crisp, streamlined user experience. The new interface was developed with the typical user's research journey in mind and based on user feedback, testing and accessibility standards.

The University Libraries provide access to a preview of the new interface. For a quick overview of the new features of the basic and advanced search, view this five-minute tutorial on YouTube or Vimeo.

While links to databases, publications and articles will not need to be changed, seasoned EBSCO users will find some big changes. Popular filters will be more prominent, full text links will be available under the Access Options Menu, URLs in the address bar will be permalinks, the e-book experience will be improved, a new Projects feature will allow added functionality within folders, and more.

The libraries' blog features a new post that goes into more detail about these changes and includes a list of Frequently Asked Questions.
