Adults Preparing to Take Weight Loss Medication: Sign Up for Study on Protein, Health and Wellbeing
The Center for Human Nutrition at the U of A is seeking participants aged 18 and older for a nutrition research study.
This study aims to explore the impact of protein on body composition and well-being in individuals preparing to start weight-loss medications such as semaglutides, tirzepatide or liraglutide (brand names: Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, Mounjaro).
Participants will be compensated for their time and involvement. The study spans up to five weeks and requires four to five visits to the Center for Human Nutrition. Assessments include body composition, sleep patterns, mood, diet and overall health.
