You're invited to join the Office of Transition Programs and Initiatives from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, for the U of A's annual National First-Generation College Student Day Celebration! The event will take place in the Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge (flag room) with free snacks and drinks, cake, swag items, a photobooth, first-gen stories and more.

We encourage all students, faculty, staff and supporters to drop by to celebrate the accomplishments of our first-generation population!

Visit firstgen.uark.edu for more details on the celebration and more information on what it means to be a first-generation student.

If you have any questions, please contact Skyler Ames-Patton, assistant director of transition programs and initiatives, at sbames@uark.edu or (479) 575-5002.
