As election day inches closer, Spin (one of our community e-scooter providers) has stepped in to ensure all people can get to the polls and make their voices heard. In an effort to promote civic engagement and ease transportation challenges, Spin has partnered with Rock the Vote to offer two free rides per person, up to 30 minutes each. This initiative aims to minimize transportation related barriers and encourage participation in the democratic process.

For many voters, the election season can be a stressful time. It's easy for voters to become overwhelmed as  they navigate questions around not just who to vote for, but where to vote, how to get there and when. By providing two free rides, Spin aims to alleviate some of this stress and empower voters to focus on the important task of casting their ballot.

"Ebikes and escooters are still a relatively new technology here on campus," says Emma Armendariz, active transportation coordinator for the U of A. "This semester we've seen more use of ebikes and escooters than ever before. They're fun for recreation, but also an incredibly helpful tool to have in your transportation tool belt."

Use promo code ROCKTHEVOTE2024 in the Spin app to unlock your two free rides.
