The College of Engineering has launched a new website that offers an improved appearance, better functionality and refreshed content reflective of the college's excellent offerings for prospective students.

The new site is live at engineering.uark.edu.

Dean Kim Needy said the site was an important improvement as the college moves from the foundation phase of its strategic plan, Vision 2035, and on to phases of expansion and transformation.

"Our website is the front door for people who aren't yet familiar with the college or its place as a catalyst for innovation and exploration," she said. "I believe users will find the site to be a much more accurate reflection of the college's level of excellence."

Some key upgrades:

  • The site has a clean, modern look and feel that is easier to navigate from both desktop and mobile devices, with fewer clicks and a layout that allows users to easily find content by organized headings.
  • The design emphasizes information geared toward external audiences, including prospective students and their parents, interested faculty recruits and potential industry collaborators.
  • There are added new elements such as a searchable directory of the college's faculty members by areas of research.
