The annual benefits open enrollment period for U of A employees to select plans for 2025 will begin on Oct. 21 and will close at 5 p.m. on Nov. 4. Employees will receive an open enrollment task in their Workday inbox. Benefits not included in open enrollment can be managed through the "benefits and pay" tab in Workday.

What is changing in 2025?

  • There will be no premium increases for medical, dental or vision coverage in January 2025.

  • Premiums for employee-paid Optional Long-Term Disability Insurance are increasing to $0.546 per $100 (from $0.43 per $100) of annual base salary.

  • Critical illness insurance requires re-enrollment. 2024 enrollment will not carry forward to 2025.

Resources for Open Enrollment

  • The U of A Benefits team hosts both in-person and virtual information sessions leading up to the open enrollment period. Register for any remaining sessions on Oct. 14 through 18 through the Employee Development Program Calendar.
