University of Arkansas to Host Giving Day: One Day, One U of A

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas is launching "One Day, One U of A," its inaugural 24-hour crowdfunding giving day, set for April 10, 2025. This groundbreaking event will empower the Razorback community to support grassroots-led projects that address pressing needs across campus and throughout the state of Arkansas.

The One Day, One U of A event will feature innovative, project-based initiatives led by faculty, staff and students. The crowdfunding format offers a fresh approach to traditional giving days by allowing donors to contribute directly to specific projects that resonate with them. This format, similar to the 30-day FundRAZOR format currently used for fundraising initiatives, not only strengthens the connection between donors and the project goals but also amplifies the impact of each contribution.

"One Day, One U of A is more than just a day of giving; it's an opportunity for our entire community to 'Be the Beacon' and champion the projects that will shape the future of our university and beyond," said Amy Linimon, assistant vice chancellor of engagement. "This event highlights the power of collective action, where every gift, no matter the size, plays a crucial role in driving meaningful change."

Applications for projects are now open to all University of Arkansas faculty, staff and students. At least one project will be selected from each college and unit. Successful projects will be featured on a dedicated crowdfunding platform where they will seek support from alumni, friends, and the wider community. As One Day, One U of A approaches, more information wil be shared on the selected projects. The deadline for One Day, One U of A applications is Friday, Nov. 15.

For more information on One Day, One U of A, please visit One Day, One U of A or contact oneday@uark.edu. The Annual Giving team will host office hours through Friday, Nov. 15. Office hours are listed online.

Join us on April 10, 2025, as we come together for a day of giving, innovation and impact. Together, let's illuminate a brighter future for the U of A and the communities we serve.
