The University Libraries are pleased to announce that University of Arkansas authors can make their peer-reviewed research articles open access in Association for Computing Machinery publications without paying an article processing charge. This service is made possible by an agreement negotiated with the publisher through the Greater Western Library Alliance.

Jay McAllister, engineering librarian, says this agreement will advance the impact of U of A research.

"Engineering faculty and researchers from the University of Arkansas have made impactful publications in the Association for Computing Machinery journals," he said. "Allowing this content to be made available through open access resources grants an opportunity for the academic community to see the work that is being done here."

Any faculty, staff, postdoc or student affiliated with the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, who serves as the corresponding author is eligible for this program. The article must be published as open access.

For information about this agreement and other library-hosted programs supporting open access publications, please visit the Libraries' Open Access Publishing Support research guide.
