Speech and Debate Team Success at Start of Season

The U of A Speech and Debate Society traveled to Lee College in Baytown, Texas, this weekend to kickstart the 2024-2025 debate season. The team brought 13 students competing in Team, Novice, Junior Varisty, Varsity and Professional categories and had advancing members in every division. 

Max Green - Professional semifinalist and fourth place Professional Speaker
Hadley Adkison - Varsity quarterfinalist and Team semifinalist
Austin Keefe - Varsity octofinalist and Team semifinalist
Dylan Hall - Junior Varsity finalist
Colten Nichols - Junior Varsity quarterfinalist
Maddie Fritz - Novice quarterfinalist
Rhea Neugebauer - Novice quarterfinalist

The team is now preparing to host a virtual tournament in October, then hitting the road again to travel to University of Central Missouri.
