The University of Arkansas Graduate and Professional Student Congress cordially invites all graduate students to our October Policy Dialogue scheduled for 5 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 3, via Zoom.

Policy Dialogue is a forum where graduate and professional students interface with university administrators/experts to discuss pertinent topics that affect their wellbeing and success on campus. It is also an opportunity for GPSC members to explore possible areas of partnerships with campus organizations/units to improve service delivery and graduate students' experience.

The October dialogue focuses on Civic Engagement & Civic Discourse. Civic engagement and discourse are essential for shaping the future of our communities and ensuring that all voices are heard. Whether it's voting, advocating for policy changes, or participating in meaningful conversations about public issues, engaging in civic activities helps create positive change. Civic discourse fosters respectful dialogue and the exchange of diverse ideas — something that is vital in today's world.

Speakers: Claire Allison, director Center for Community Engagement and Katie Brocklesby, student development specialist, Center for Community Engagement
Time: 5-6 p.m.
Venue: Zoom link will be sent to the email of all graduate and professional students. Request for Zoom link and send your questions to gpscpres@uark.edu

This event will provide an opportunity to explore how we, as graduate students, can play a more active role in our communities and enhance our impact through thoughtful engagement. Your voice matters, and we would love for you to join the conversation. Kindly register.
