International Studies and World Languages Alumna Adoette Vaughan Pursues a Master's in Italian
Adoette Vaughan, class of 2023, spent the summer studying at Middlebury College's La scuola italiana in pursuit of her master's degree in Italian.
Vaughan, who graduated with a double major in international and global studies and French, was nominated for the SITE Internship Program, which sends students of Italian to the Lombardy region of Italy to serve as assistant instructors of English in Italian high schools. After her first semester in Italy, Vaughan fell in love with Italy and decided that she wanted to continue her studies of Italian.
She applied to Middlebury College's Intensive Summer Programs and received a scholarship to enroll in her studies. Vaughan aims to study at Middlebury College's Florence campus, which has a relationship with the Università degli studi di Firenze, to finish her M.A. in Italian.
