New Outlook Feature Launching This Week
The university community may notice a new feature in their Outlook accounts this week. Information Technology Services is releasing an in-place archive to give users an additional option for managing digital storage on their Microsoft 365 account. Users will see this feature displayed alongside other folders in their Outlook account.
The in-place archive enables users to archive and store older emails while minimizing the impact on their storage limits. Emails stored within the archive remain searchable and can easily be moved between folders. Unlike emails stored in other folders, emails in the in-place archive will not affect individuals' or the university's storage capacity. For users who do not utilize this feature, there will be no impact to their current inbox.
