Do Emotions Get the Best of You? Adults Needed for Research Study

Are distressing, unpleasant emotions challenging for you? If you are an adult and interested in participating in psychological research, you may be eligible for a study that examines distress in daily life.

As a participant in the study, you will be asked to visit the U of A TEMPT lab twice, complete questionnaires online, download an app to your iPhone or Android smartphone and answer questions for three weeks on that app as you go about your life.

You will need reliable Internet service to complete this study (i.e., complete questionnaires online and download an app to your phone).

Your time is important to us, and you will be compensated up to $300 for entire study. You will receive $20 for coming into the lab for the orientation session, $20 for coming to the lab a second time for a one-hour skills training session, $20 for completing measures at home weekly and up to $240 for answering questions on your phone several times a day for three weeks.

If interested, please fill out the screening measure at this link, and we will contact you if you are eligible! You can also contact the TEMPT Lab at TEMPTuark@gmail.com for further information or call (479) 345-8099 and ask about the Distress in Daily Life study. Additionally, you can visit our website at https://tempt.uark.edu/distress.
