Razorback Transit Implementing Bus Stop Location Changes for Higher Accessibility
Razorback Transit has moved the location of one of its stops on Route 26.
The stop, previously located in the parking lot at the Walmart Supercenter, is now directly off the west side of Mall Avenue, indicated in yellow in the adjoining image.
Not only does the new stop include a bus shelter, but it allows enough space for proper accessibility needs. Individuals who require ADA assistance will be able to be picked up and dropped off at the stop and will have an accessible route to the Walmart Supercenter should they need it.
A new curb cut has been established at the walkway by the stop, which is located at a sidewalk that runs along the Spring Creek Centre. An arrow indicating this passageway is included in the image above.
An updated crosswalk has also been established right next to the stop, which will allow access to the east side of Mall Avenue. An Ozark Regional Transit stop is located on the east side of Mall Avenue, providing an easy connection between transit services.
The updated location creates a streamlined path that will result in better timeliness and traffic flow for the route.
The city of Fayetteville has provided four additional new stop pad locations for Razorback Transit to continue in its efforts to improve access for riders.
Those locations are at: Appleby and N. Bob Younkin, Appleby and Gregg (inbound and outbound), and MLK and Sang.
