New Streamlined Process for IT Project Requests Coming Soon
The Project Management Office for IT Services will implement a new process for requesting IT related projects beginning Tuesday, Sept. 10. The new process will be managed in the IT Help Portal to provide a more seamless experience for requestors and project managers alike.
The Help Portal offers a wide range of reporting capabilities and resources, making the tool more insightful for users throughout the project life cycle. Some features included in the new project management tool are:
-
A project management process that aligns more closely with the Project Management Institute
-
Automated enhancements to the project intake process
-
Consultation services, where the Project Management Office can work with clients to create and maintain projects in a consistent way that best suits business operations
-
Project management templates for those needing a lightweight option for facilitating projects
-
Business case development for aligning projects with the chancellor's three strategic pillars
-
Resource assignments that give users full visibility into the project work
-
Articles and information to support the updated intake process for IT projects
Until the launch of the new project request process on Sept. 10, all IT-related project requests should continue to be submitted under Request IT Projects on the IT Services website. A full list of service offerings can also be found on the IT Services website.
