ASG Senate Encourages Students to Run in Fall Vacancy Election

The Associated Student Government Senate is currently seeking undergraduate candidates for the upcoming fall vacancy election, offering 40 available seats to all undergraduate students in good standing. Additionally, five seats are reserved for freshmen.

"Students have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their community through legislation, advocacy and service," stated Logan Martin, chair of the Senate. "The Senate provides a dynamic, hands-on environment where you will engage with peers from across campus. It's a powerful way to contribute to your community, develop leadership skills and build lasting friendships."

Applications for candidacy are open from today through Sunday, Sept. 8, on the ASG HogSync page. Prospective candidates must complete the candidate quiz to qualify for the election.

For more information about ASG Senate, students are encouraged to contact Logan Martin, chair of the Senate, at asgsen@uark.edu. Inquiries about election procedures should be directed to Chief Justice Adi Kombathula at asgjcj@uark.edu.
