If you have any questions, please call the UREC Main Office during office hours at 479-575-4646 or email us at urec@uark.edu. A UREC membership grants members access to all UREC locations listed below.

The main facility for the Department of University Recreation and Wellness is the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) building, located at 155 N. Stadium Dr. Highlights include an Olympic-sized swimming pool, three basketball courts, an indoor track, functional training areas, cycle studio, racquetball courts, bouldering and climbing walls and UREC Outdoors. This summer, the U of A began a 15-month renovation of the HPER Building, aiming to modernize its infrastructure and enhance its architectural design. The project will introduce new features designed to significantly improve the recreational experience for both students and members. Learn more about the HPER renovation project on our website. The building is still open and operating. All UREC programming and offerings are still available during construction.

The UREC Fitness Center, conveniently located in the middle of campus on the second floor of the Arkansas Union, features almost 6,000 square feet of gym floor space and fully equipped men's and women's locker and shower facilities.

The UREC Sports Complex, located at 1486 Mitchell St., offers one competition and practice club sports surface, four intramural playing surfaces and two sand volleyball courts. It is recommended that participants bring their own equipment with them, but equipment items (footballs, soccer balls, sand volleyballs, Frisbees, etc.) are available for checkout from the service center inside the complex.

The UREC Tennis Center is located at 1357 W. Indian Tr. off Martin Luther King Boulevard in Fayetteville. The UREC Tennis Center features 12 tennis courts (four courts with backboards to allow for individual play) and a service facility that includes an equipment checkout center and restrooms. It is recommended that participants bring their own equipment with them to play. Equipment such as tennis racquets, tennis balls and pickleball racquets are available to check out, but on a limited basis.
