Dante at the Newberry Library: From Manuscripts to Graphic Novels
Event flyer by Larissa Rocha, social media & podcast studio lead at the WLDH Studio.
As part of the U of A's membership with the Newberry Library in Chicago, the Italian Program has organized two events with Chris Fletcher, assistant director at the Center for Renaissance Studies. Both events, "Dante at the Newberry Library: From Manuscripts to Graphic Novels," will take place at the World Languages and Digital Humanities Studio, J.B. Hunt, room 207.
Today, Aug. 28, at 6 p.m., we will show videos on the Newberry Library's archival materials and collection on Dante and his Divine Comedy.
Next Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 4:30 p.m., Fletcher will join us virtually and do a Q&A on the collection over Zoom.
Many thanks to the World Languages and Digital Humanities Studio for hosting the event and the refreshment afterwards and to the on-campus sponsors of the Newberry Library Consortium (Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, Honors College, Medieval and Renaissance Studies Program, Graduate School and International Education, and Division of Research & Innovation).
