Installation of an MRI scanner at the new I³R facility will require closure of a section of Duncan Avenue this weekend.

Duncan Avenue will be closed from Dickson Street to Williams Street this weekend, starting at 6 p.m. on Friday and continuing until noon on Sunday.

The closure is necessary to accommodate the delivery of an MRI scanner to the new I³R facility.

All levels of the Harmon Avenue Parking Garage will remain open, as will Dickson Street, Williams Street and Harmon Avenue. Those streets can be used as a detour route during the closure.

Arrival of this specialized MRI is a milestone for the university as the Magnetom Cima.X is technology company Siemens's strongest and fastest 3T MRI system, and the one arriving in Fayetteville will be only the fourth of its kind in the country and 12th in the world.

Thank you for your cooperation to help commemorate this achievement.
