Libraries to Offer Free Research Seminars for Nursing Students
As part of the Razorback Researcher Seminar Series, the University Libraries will offer two seminars tailored to students in the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing this semester.
In Nursing Research: Introduction to Library Resources, attendees will learn about library resources useful for doing research in the health sciences, particularly nursing. Topics covered will include finding peer-reviewed articles, determining which databases are best for a given topic, citing sources and ways to get help with library questions. Online sessions will be offered from 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, and from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29. An in-person session is set for 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, in MULN 439. All sessions will provide the same information, and instructions for joining the virtual sessions will be sent to those who register.
Nursing Research: Understanding the PICO Framework will provide an introduction to the PICO Framework as used in the health sciences, particularly nursing, to help participants develop strong research questions. Online sessions will be offered from 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, and from 9-10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11. An in-person session is set for 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in MULN 439. All sessions will provide the same information, and instructions for joining the virtual sessions will be sent to those who register.
