The Office of Financial Affairs is excited to announce Andrea Crawford as the U of A's nonresident tax coordinator. Crawford will oversee compliance with tax regulations and payments for foreign national faculty, staff, students and visitors. Her role is crucial in coordinating tax compliance efforts with Human Resources, Business Services and the Treasurer's Office.

"Andrea brings experience in payroll processing, nonresident tax regulations and compliance," says Bridgette Harris, senior director of payroll services. "We are confident that her expertise will continue to be invaluable to our organization."

Crawford has a proven track record of success and compliance during her nearly five years at the U of A. Most recently, she served as a payroll services specialist where she resolved complex payroll items and assisted in nonresident tax compliance. "I'm both excited and grateful for the opportunity and eager to embark on this new journey," Crawford says. "The role's diverse community interactions, impactful work and the chance to help others navigate complexity are what excite me most." Through continuous professional development, such as becoming a Certified Payroll Professional in 2024, Crawford is well positioned to support the university and its community in this space.
