UARK Leaders Accepting Nominations for Fifth Cohort

The UARK Leaders program is now accepting nominations for its fifth cohort, which will run from October 2024 to April 2025. The purpose of the program is to establish a cohort that represents a cross-section of university leaders who will work together to lead the campus community more effectively. The cohort will focus on advancing the university's student success, research excellence and employer of choice strategic pillars.

UARK Leaders Cohort 5 is open to both staff and faculty with two or more direct reports, who direct an organizational unit or large-scale projects or programs. The UARK Leaders program will focus on three key leadership competencies: strategic thinking, leading a team and balancing advocacy. Components of the cohort experience include:

  • Six days of interactive professional development sessions

  • A leadership self-assessment

  • Up to three one-on-one professional leadership coaching sessions

  • A team-based action learning project focused on real-time university issues, including presenting findings to the U of A Strategic Operations Group.

To learn more about the program, process and eligibility criteria, review the UARK Leaders 2024-25 Program Overview.

Nominate or self-nominate by completing the UARK Leaders Cohort 5 Nomination Form by 5 p.m. CDT July 15. Cohort selection will be completed in September following nominee interviews.

There is a $2,000 cost per participant, and their department is responsible for covering this cost.
