Virtual Mother's Monday Event to Celebrate Mothers and Caregivers at U of A
Next Monday, May 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., join mothers and caregivers from across the U of A campus via teams for Mother's Monday, an effort to acknowledge, recognize and celebrate working motherhood in all its forms and in all its complexity.
According to the Mother's Monday website, this movement, held the day after Mother's Day each year since 2020, "is a time to consider how we might collectively reinvent the relationship between motherhood and work so that work ambitions (and realities) and caregiving can co-exist. It's about reimagining the role workplaces and society and each of us can play in supporting fellow mothers and caregivers, and, in the process, better support everyone else, too."
You can learn more about the national Mother's Monday movement at www.mothersmonday.com.
We hope you'll join us to celebrate and honor you. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please contact Sarah Draine at sdraine@uark.edu or Myrlinda Soedjede at myrlinda@uark.edu with any questions or accessibility needs.
