VMware Remote Lab Access to Be Discontinued on May 13

Earlier this year, IT Services implemented a new option for remotely accessing specialized software. Since the implementation of AVD Remote Lab, there has been an abundance of positive feedback from the campus community. AVD provides a streamlined and user-friendly experience to remotely access software and applications offered in Tech Spot computer labs on campus.

The legacy tool for remote lab access, VMware Horizon Client, will be discontinued on Monday, May 13. Users will be directed to AVD for a more secure and efficient Remote Lab experience.

To learn more about AVD and access course-specific software such as MATLAB, SPSS and SAS, visit the IT Services website and log into AVD using your UARK credentials.
