The "Making Your Day Work" Carnival, hosted by the Division of Finance and Administration on March 28, featured various departments across campus that work to enhance the overall employee experience and raised awareness to the diverse and exceptional services offered by the university.

The event helped build connections across campus, creating a more collaborative and informed workplace.

With active participation from over 25 departments and units across campus, the carnival was a testament to the university community's enthusiasm and commitment to the employee experience.

Nearly 500 participants connected face-to-face with people from units throughout campus — some for the very first time after only working with them virtually prior to the carnival.

"The most rewarding part of the experience was the opportunity to connect with individuals from various departments," an attendee shared. "Regardless of advances in technology and efforts to streamline processes, I firmly believe that personal interactions remain invaluable."

The event included interactive booths, informative demonstrations and enjoyable activities, creating a unique and memorable experience for all participants. Attendees had the chance to interact with university leaders and learn about the strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the university's status as an employer of choice

One of the participants expressed, "This was the best information fair I've ever attended since working here." Many faculty and staff shared the same appreciation for the opportunity to learn about the services offered on campus that they were not familiar with prior to the event.

The carnival was one of the several initiatives in an ongoing effort to making your workday better. Other initiatives in this campaign include the implementation of the digital adoption platform WalkMe, improved campus support through Team Dynamix and the bi-weekly Workday Wednesday webinar series.
