Topping Out Ceremony for New Silicon Carbide Fabrication Facility

The U of A Power Group is celebrating a major milestone in the construction of its Multi-User Silicon Carbide Research and Fabrication Facility with a "topping out" ceremony. 

Scheduled for 1-2 p.m. Thursday, April 18, the event will convene students, faculty and staff to unite them in a symbolic act of signing the final beam to be erected for this addition to the U of A's Arkansas Research & Technology Park. Remarks by College of Engineering Dean Kim Needy and Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering Alan Mantooth will begin at 1 p.m.
