Faculty Appreciation Week Events and Giveaways to Be Held April 8-12

The Office for Faculty Affairs has planned a week full of events, giveaways and special discounts to celebrate Faculty Appreciation Week this coming week, April 8-12.

"I'd like to thank our faculty for the incredible contributions they make every day to the U of A and our community," said Provost Terry Martin. "Our faculty are a tremendous asset to our institution and are instrumental in helping us fulfill our research and land-grant mission and advancing student success. Please join me in thanking our faculty for all the work they do and recognizing the great impact they have on our students."

During Faculty Appreciation Week, faculty can receive free coffee and get discounts at Hog Heaven and the U of A Bookstore. Faculty will also be able to purchase $10 Razorback Baseball tickets for games on April 9 and 10 (use promo code UAFACULTY).

 In addition, faculty can enter drawings to receive prizes including:

  • Razorback merchandise
  • A canvas photograph print of a U of A landmark
  • Two suite tickets to attend the first home football game of the 2024 football season as Chancellor Charles Robinson's guests

Winners of the drawings will be notified on Friday, April 12.

The Teaching Faculty and Support Center and Teaching Innovation and Pedagogical Support (TIPS) will be hosting events for faculty early in the week, including a Blackboard Ultra Monday training session and new faculty lunch discussions with university leadership.

University Recreation (UREC) will be providing discounts and giveaways to faculty during the week including a 30% discount on all gear rentals (camping, climbing and paddling), student pricing on hybrid and mountain bike rentals and personal training, 10% off of an annual membership and giveaways for gear rental and fitness InBody Screening. UREC also offers a free week-long pass for faculty who would like to try UREC's facilities before getting a membership.
