European Finance Leader to Discuss Innovation in Finance During Feb. 21 Talk at Rome Center
Alessandro Canta, a prominent executive of one of the largest utility companies in Europe, will discuss innovation in finance during a talk at 10:30 a.m. CST Feb. 21 as part of the U of A's Rome Center Speaker Series hosted by the Graduate School and International Education. The talk will be held in the Rome Center's historic campus located in Palazzo Taverna in Rome. The event is also available to the U of A's campus and community members virtually via YouTube.
Canta is the head of finance and insurance at ENEL S.p.A., an Italian energy company and one of the largest utility companies in Europe. Casta has served in this role since 2014, leading a team of 360 financial and insurance managers across more than 20 countries. He is also chairman of ENEL Finance International and ENEL Finance America. His talk will focus on how innovation arises in an organization and the steps toward innovation success.
The Rome Center's Speaker Series offers talks from renowned international experts across a range of topics throughout the spring semester. The lecture series includes two additional talks this spring held on site at the Rome Center's location in Rome, Italy. Both talks will include virtual options for the broader U of A community.
