The Graduate School and International Education is now accepting nominations for the Collis R. Geren and Patricia R. Koski Award, recognizing excellence in graduate education among our university's faculty and staff, with an application deadline of March 15.

Those interested in submitting a nomination can complete an online nomination form.

The Collis R. Geren and Patricia R. Koski award is given to faculty and staff members who demonstrate exceptional commitment to graduate education. The award was initiated in 2010 in honor of Geren, who served as the dean of the U of A Graduate School for nearly 20 years. It was renamed in 2022 to also honor Koski, who served as dean and associate dean of the Graduate School for 25 years.

Awards are given in three categories: to a university faculty member, university staff member and a GSIE staff member. Recipients will receive a certificate and monetary award, in addition to having their name engraved on a plaque in GSIE. The winners will also be recognized at a reception in Gearhart Hall later this spring.
