New Compliance Training Available in Workday for Employees
The U of A Department of Equal Opportunity, Compliance and Title IX (OEOC) has launched campuswide required training for employees through Workday Learning in accordance with university policies.
Completing these training courses helps to foster an environment of belonging across campus, which is foundational to the university’s strategic position as an employer of choice. The U of A is committed to enhancing a community where everyone works toward a meaningful purpose, has the support to be most effective and is enabled to thrive in their personal and professional lives. Faculty and staff are vital in allowing the university to create a healthy and safe workplace that is free from harassment and discrimination.
To satisfy training requirements, employees must complete the training before it expires on March 1. When training deadlines are approaching, employees will be automatically enrolled in the courses and will receive reminders to complete the training in Workday Learning. Employees should have recently received the below training to complete:
-
Building Supportive Communities: Title IX and Clery Act
-
Required every three years
The following training will be deployed today:
-
Accommodating People With Disabilities: This training provides an outline of information related to reasonable accommodation requests at the university and the process of addressing accessibility concerns on campus.
-
Discrimination & Harassment: This training will cover discrimination, harassment and retaliation, federal and state laws, and university policies and reporting requirements.
