Italian for Romance Language Speakers I and II in Spring 2024

Do you already speak a Romance language? Have you studied a Romance language in high school or college? Looking for one more course for the spring? Consider enrolling in ITAL 1113: Italian for Romance Language Speakers I or ITAL 2113: Italian for Romance Language Speakers II. 

ITAL 1113: Italian for Romance Language Speakers I is intended for learners who are either

  1. Heritage speakers of a Romance language,
  2. Have studied three years of a Romance language in high school or
  3. Have studied two years of a Romance language in college.

Designed for students with previous knowledge of another Romance language, this intensive Italian course provides an accelerated introduction to Italian, combining the material of two semesters (ITAL 1003 & ITAL 1013) into one. Attention is devoted to the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, as well as culture.

Offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:45-11:35 a.m. 

ITAL 2113: Italian for Romance Language Speakers II is intended for learners who have completed ITAL 1113 or ITAL 1013 and are a heritage speaker of a Romance language.

Offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:55-1:45 p.m.
