Increasing the University's Network Security by Blocking Unsafe Sites
Infoblox

IT Services continues to develop and implement security measures with the goal of making the university a better place to work, learn and conduct research. The latest tool added to the network security infrastructure is Infoblox BloxOne Threat Defense.

Beginning Monday, Dec. 4, BloxOne Threat Defense will be implemented to help protect the campus community from malware, exploits, phishing, data exfiltration and ransomware, while also preserving access to other resources on the internet.

If a university-owned device attempts to access a blocked page or site, a UARK-branded redirect will notify users that access to the site in question is blocked. The same will apply to non-university owned devices that are connected to the university's Wi-Fi network.

If a website that you require access to for completing job functions appears blocked, please submit a ticket to the IT Help Desk.
