Upcoming Workshop for Grant Proposal Budgets
The Division of Research and Innovation is hosting a grant proposal budget workshop for UA faculty and staff from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, in Arkansas Union 510-511.
This workshop will focus on drafting, refining, and finalizing grant proposal budgets and will be presented by Molly Throgmorton, associate Director for Research Development, and Dr. Keith Berry, Research Development Specialist. The first hour of the workshop will cover the primary steps of building a proposal budget, including: 1) understanding funder requirements; 2) identifying project expenses; 3) drafting the budget justification; and 4) incorporating the budget into the overall proposal.
The second part of the workshop will focus on engaging with participant questions about their budgets. Attendees are encouraged to bring a current draft of their grant proposal budget to engage with the information in real time. All University of Arkansas faculty and staff involved in research funding on campus are welcome to attend.
