The Pakistani Students Association invites students to attend AzadiFest, the celebration of Pakistan's Independence Day, from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, in the Graduate Education Building, room 343. This commemorates the day when Pakistan achieved independence and was declared a sovereign state on Aug. 14, 1947. The PSA aims to celebrate our Pakistani customs to bring integrity to our community on campus, as well as introduce our traditions to other students who are interested in such events. More information regarding Pakistan's Independence Day and its customs and history is available on Wikipedia.
