All Are Invited to the 2023 Homecoming Celebration

The 2023 U of A’s Homecoming celebration will take place Oct. 18-21, and all members of the U of A family are welcome to join the celebration.

The Arkansas Alumni Association and the Division of Student Affairs are proud to announce a new student-driven Homecoming event at the U of A. The inaugural HOCO Party on the Mall and Friday Fireworks Celebration for Calling All Hogs Home will provide a broad range of experiences for students, alumni, families and the entire campus community to enjoy the Razorback spirit on Friday, Oct. 20.

That evening will also include the Homecoming Pep Rally with the 2023 Homecoming King and Queen announcement and the traditional Step Show in the Arkansas Union hosted by the National Pan-Hellenic Council.

“It is exciting to see the start of new traditions for the University of Arkansas Homecoming — the registered student organizations decorating plyboards; the HOCO Party on the Mall gathering faculty, staff, students and the general public prior to the pep rally on Friday; and then a finale with fireworks,” said Mary Skinner, director of student activities.

While the Homecoming parade is not happening this year, there are several events and opportunities for alumni and the campus community to attend, which start on Wednesday, Oct. 18, and culminate with the Razorback football game against Mississippi State on Saturday, Oct. 21, with game start at 11 a.m. central time.

“In my conversations with students and our alumni team over the last three years, it has been top of mind to offer a very special experience where our students and alumni feel welcome to celebrate and enjoy their Home on the Hill,” said Brandy Cox Jackson, executive director of the Arkansas Alumni Association. “It is inspiring to see so many student groups interested in this year’s activities and providing fun opportunities for all!”
