University Recreation to Offer Discounts for Staff Appreciation Week
University Recreation is offering special discounts and promotions for U of A staff throughout Staff Appreciation Week, Oct. 9-13. A list of specific offerings can be found below.
- 30% discount on all UREC gear rentals (camping, climbing, paddling)
- Student pricing (~50% off) on hybrid and mountain bike rentals from UREC Outdoors
- Enter the UREC Outdoors drawing for one free gear rental of your choice (up to $80 in gear)
- 10% off annual membership - redeem at UREC main office HPER 225
- Sign up to redeem a free week-long UREC facility pass (grants access to all UREC facilities)
- Free (ongoing) group fitness class offered each Wednesday from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at the UREC Fitness Center (Union)
- Student pricing on all personal training packages
- Enter the UREC Fitness drawing for one free personal training starter package (assessment + one session)

The Department of Food Science and the Center for Human Nutrition are recruiting adults between the ages of 23-65 years to participate in a nutrition study related to time-restricted feeding (eating for eight hours and fasting for 16 hours each day).
