Fall 2023 Funding Competitions From U of A Humanities Center
The U of A Humanities Center is now accepting applications for the fall funding competitions. All U of A faculty of any standing working with humanities content are encouraged to apply for grants to support humanities research, publishing and outreach.
Publishing Subvention and Distribution Grants:
Five awards of up to $1,000 each can be used to defray production costs associated with humanities research publications or scholarly products. Permissible expenses include obtaining publication rights for art works, purchase of high-resolution visuals, translation costs, creation of maps by a third party, design of graphs or charts by a third party, podcast production costs or other field-specific expenses with proper justification.
Consultant Funds:
Five grants of up to $1,000 each are available for the U of A to engage a consultant to help with grant writing, book proposals, technical assistance or other field-specific proposals for humanities research.
Outreach Incentive Funds:
Two grants of up to $2,500 are available for U of A faculty to support humanities-focused, community-based events for the campus or the region. These events should include humanities and interdisciplinary content and focus on outreach to a broad constituency.
Proposals should be uploaded to the U of A's InfoReady portal by close of business Nov. 1.
Check out the UAHC website funding tab for full proposal information and parameters for funding. Questions about the competitions can be directed to uahc@uark.edu.
