Renowned International Expert to Speak Oct. 5 for Rome Center Speaker Series
Dario Fabbri, a renowned Italian journalist and geopolitics expert, will present on October 5 at 11 a.m. as part of the U of A's Rome Center Speaker Series hosted by the Graduate School and International Education. The talk will be held in the Rome Center's historic campus located in Palazzo Taverna in Rome. The event is also available to the U of A campus and community members virtually via YouTube.
Fabbri's talk will focus on the current relationship between the United States and China in the light of the evolving scenarios associated with the war between Russia and Ukraine. Fabbri's experience as the editorial director of Domino, a geopolitics magazine he co-founded, lends to his credibility on this topic. Previously, Fabbri contributed to other prestigious magazines like Limes and Conflicts. He also worked as a contributing author for notable Italian and international newspapers, and his podcasts and lectures earned international acclaim, including his lecture to the board of Microsoft USA on the strategy and tactics of power.
"Dario Fabbri is an exceptional speaker and is returning for the second time to the University of Arkansas Rome Center," said Francesco Bedeschi, director of the Rome Center. "His ability to analyze global dynamics, combined with great clarity in presentation, represents a tremendous opportunity for our students to hear an original and highly valuable perspective."
The Rome Center's Speaker Series offers talks from renowned international experts across a range of topics throughout the fall semester. The lecture series includes two additional talks this fall held on-site at the Rome Center's location in Rome, Italy, and will include virtual options for the broader U of A community.
