Summer Undergraduate Research Participant Presentations

The Office of Undergraduate Research will host the summer undergraduate research participants' presentations at 5:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 26, in White Engineering Hall room 209.

Approximately 70 undergraduate participants from 13 different Summer Undergraduate Programs will be sharing the findings of their research performed at the University of Arkansas campus. These summer undergraduate research participants are supported by Summer Undergraduate Research grants, to the U of A faculty, sponsored by federal granting agencies such as the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the United States Department of Agriculture.

The summer undergraduate participants come different universities in the United States. The undergraduate research students are recruited by different programs through a very competitive process. Selected summer research participants are provided free boarding, housing, and lucrative stipends.

The summer research participants spend about 10 weeks working on research projects in the cutting edge areas of science and engineering. Significant numbers of these summer research participants return back to the campus to pursue their graduate studies. This year, the University of Arkansas hosted the largest conglomeration of the summer research participants. The program looks forward to an exciting evening of presentations by this year's summer research participants!
