Paid Research Participation to Advance Knowledge on the Menstrual Cycle and Cognition
The purpose of this study is to investigate how changing hormones throughout the menstrual cycle impact cognitive abilities (memory, orientation, processing speed, etc.).
How do I qualify?
- You must be a biological female aged 18-25
- You must have a consistent monthly period
- You cannot be currently taking any form of hormonal birth control including pills, IUDs, injections or implants
- You cannot be currently pregnant or have not resumed your menstrual cycle post-pregnancy
- You cannot have a diagnosed hormonal mood disorder (premenstrual syndrome or premenstrual dysphoric mood disorder) by a doctor
What is expected of me?
- Give us an estimation of the dates of your last three periods
- Visit us twice within the span of one menstrual cycle (the average is 28-32 days) at the same time of day to complete a series of cognitive assessments and provide saliva samples
- Each visit should take no longer than 1 hour and 30 minutes
- You will be compensated with a $40 Amazon gift card for your time
