University Recreation to Offer Free Passes to Faculty and Staff
University Recreation invites all current U of A faculty and staff members to check out what UREC has to offer this summer! A free three-day facility pass (good for access to all UREC facilities) will be awarded to those who are interested. To redeem your free three-day pass, please complete this online Qualtrics form.

The main facility for the department of University Recreation is the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) building, located at 155 N. Stadium Drive. Highlights include the Donna Axum Fitness Center, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, four basketball courts, an indoor track, group fitness studios, functional training areas, cycle studio, racquetball courts, bouldering and climbing walls, UREC Outdoors, and locker and shower facilities.
Auxiliary facilities include
UREC Fitness Center (located on the second floor of the Arkansas Union)
- 6,000 square feet of fitness floor space
- 1,500-square-foot group exercise room
- Cardio and strength training equipment
- Locker and shower facilities
UREC Sports Complex (fields at Mitchell Street)
- Four intramural fields
- One club field
- Two sand volleyball pits
- Equipment checkout: including soccer balls, footballs, frisbees and more
UREC Tennis Center (located at 1357 W. Indian Trail, behind Chick-Fil-A off MLK Boulevard)
- 12 tennis courts (four courts with backboards to allow for individual play)
- Equipment checkout: including tennis balls & racquets and pickleball gear
