Rachel Cornett, director of the U of A Children's Choir, is "so excited to kick off our second annual choir camp for community youth who want to be part of an awesome choral experience this summer! This will be such a fun opportunity to bring kids onto campus to sing, play and have a little taste of college life for a week. And we are so fortunate to have such an expert panel of directors coming in to work with these singers and share their musical passion and knowledge!"

Whether your student needs a safe space to try choir for the first time or they are a choral enthusiast, UACC Day Camp 2023 is the place for them! Participants will rehearse as a mass ensemble, practice sight-reading and receive individual attention in small group sectionals. All activities will be taught in a fun environment designed to make your student love choral music! At the end of the week, students will showcase their new skills to family and friends with a performance at the Faulkner Performing Arts Center.

Camp will meet at the Billingsley Music building from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Expert instruction, materials, a camp T-shirt and daily lunch are included in the $225 fee. For camp details and registration, visit cms.uark.edu/uacc-camp.

Community Music School  is housed in the Department of Music. The school provides high-quality music instruction for students of all ages and ability levels in both individual and group formats through year-round, non-credit, music-making opportunities. To learn more about its ongoing programs and get involved, visit cms.uark.edu
