Training Available for New Online Instructors

Training Available for New Online Instructors
Amy Cooper, Global Campus animation coordinator

Instructors teaching online courses can get help from instructional designers at the Global Campus during one-hour sessions in Teams during the week of May 22 to 29.

These interactive online sessions focus on common steps to prepare and manage online courses and to help instructors gain online student feedback. Sessions are designed for instructors who are new to online teaching, and they can help current instructors refresh and build their knowledge.

No registration is required. Instructors can "drop in" to sessions at their convenience using links on the Global Campus website.

Important: If you are teaching a class that was previously developed for your department with the support of Global Campus by another instructor, you should use that version of the Blackboard course. You can:

  • Email bbadmin@uark.edu and make a request that the course content is copied into your course or a development course or
  • Contact the instructional designer who supports your department for help. Email gcampus@uark.edu to get connected with your instructional designer.

Instructors can access training materials on the Global Campus website. Contact Bob Hinton, senior instructional designer, at reh02@uark.edu for answers to questions.
