The Pat Walker Health Center's Counseling & Psychological Services has partnered with MiResource to build a curated list of mental health clinicians and psychiatrists across the Northwest Arkansas area.

Previously, CAPS had partnered with Thriving Campus to build a referral database to consolidate Northwest Arkansas community providers. The Thriving Campus website can still be utilized until Aug. 5; however, CAPS encourages the U of A community to begin familiarizing yourselves with the new referral database.

CAPS focuses on time-limited counseling services for students, so at times it may be appropriate for students to find the longer-term or specialized treatment they may wish to have. If you would benefit from longer-term or specialized treatment, CAPS may refer you to a provider in the community. Even if you are not working with one of the CAPS clinicians, CAPS can help you find a qualified professional available in the community.

MiResource is similar to Thriving Campus in that it allows our community to seek specialized counseling and treatment in the Northwest Arkansas area and beyond. People can still narrow their searches to find a mental health clinician or psychiatrist that fits their needs based on specialties, gender, language, race, religion or age. If you need assistance in how to begin the process of finding a provider, you can learn more from the Off-Campus Mental Health page of the health center's website.
