Arkansas Union Provides Study Rooms, 24-Hour Access for Finals
The Arkansas Union will begin 24-hour operations in order to assist students preparing for final exams this coming Friday, May 5. The facility will feature a variety of spaces for students to study by themselves or in groups.
Beginning Friday May 5, all common areas of the Arkansas Union will be open 24 hours a day, lasting until the end of finals. This includes all open spaces like the living room, all public hallways and corridors, the front of the Union Food Court, and other public areas. Additionally, the Union has set aside both rooms 507-511 and the Verizon Ballroom as dedicated study spaces throughout finals. Students may come individually or in groups, any time of day or night, to study, charge laptops and phones, and grab a small snack or drink. An array of seating options and configurations will be provided to enhance the variety of spaces available.
Finally, students are welcome to continue booking private study rooms in the Union. Study rooms are available during normal business hours, and can be reserved ahead of time at union.uark.edu by clicking Make A Reservation at the top of the page. Study rooms are private, can accomodate up to six to eight people, and have resources such as power and televisions. Any questions about reserving study rooms can be addressed to the Arkansas Union Administration Office in ARKU 634.
