Travel Award Submissions Now Open
As part of the Provost Office's commitment to supporting faculty development and enhancement, all full-time faculty are eligible to apply for travel assistance if they are presenting original scholarship at a professional conference or creative activity at an exhibition, performance or other related professional venue.
Applicants may receive up to $1,000 of travel assistance if selected/accepted to present as a primary author, artist or performer. Prior to travel, an expense authorization should be completed through the home department. To receive reimbursement, awardees are required to submit their expense report number in Workday to Office for Faculty Affairs upon completion of their travel. The reimbursement will cover the difference between the actual expenses and the matching funds of up to $1,000.
Applicants must:
- Be accepted or invited to a professional conference, exhibition or performance.
- Be 100% appointed in a tenure-track, tenured or non-tenure-track position (including 100% appointed instructors and lecturers).
- Be primary author, artist or performer.
- For international travel, please provide expense authorization while applying for travel funding.
Preference will be given to those who are able to secure matching funds from their department, college, start-up or RIF accounts and have not been funded in the last calendar year.
Applications are open through June 16 for travel July 1 through Dec. 30.
