In continuation of one of the most unique traditions at any college campus in the country, the U of A is preparing the next additions to the Senior Walk — the graduates of the classes of 2021 through 2025. The Senior Walk includes the inscribed name of more than 200,000 Arkansas alumni since the school's first graduating class in 1876.

"We are proud to honor each of our graduates for their achievements by having their name become a part of the foundation of our campus," said Scott Turley, associate vice chancellor for facilities. "We also appreciate the support of our community and the city as we take steps to prepare our campus to feature the names of recent and future graduates."

Previously completed on a year-to-year basis, U of A facilities management has researched and implemented a new technique that will allow multiple classes to be prepared in one year, leading to quicker engravements after graduation.

Construction for the next section of the Senior Walk is expected to begin Monday, April 24, along Razorback Road between the Cleveland Street and Maple Street intersections. The estimated time of completion is mid-June.

Throughout the construction process, the area between those intersections will be limited to one lane of traffic during working hours.
